Photoluminescent Vinyl!

Photoluminescent vinyl is a non-toxic indoor material that absorbs and stores light through exposure to artificial light (including incandescent, fluorescent and back light) as well as from direct or indirect sunlight. In the event of a blackout, lighting failure or smoky conditions this stored energy is slowly released as a strong green glow in the dark for many hours.

Why use 'Glow in the Dark' signs and labels?

It conforms to all essential and appropriate building codes and standards including the two most-recognised international standards for photoluminescent safety markings, these include:

  • The German standard DIN 67510.
  • The International Maritime Organization (IMO) Resolution A.752 (18).
  • International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 15370.
  • EU Marine Equipment Directive.
  • The Photoluminescent Safety Products Association (PSPA) class B.

In addtion to the above, our Photoluminescent vinyl requires no batteries, no bulbs, no wiring; so is low maintenance and long lasting. And Lighthouse Photoluminescent is a green solution to your lighting requirements using zero electricity to operate.

When to use 'Glow in the Dark' signs and labels

Photoluminescent vinyl is particularly popular for high-rise office buildings, industrial sites, rail, marine environments such as passenger ships and offshore drilling platforms, underground mines, commercial aircraft, and military applications.

Photoluminescent vinyl is the perfect solution for building safety escape systems and is ideal for producing signs and labels showing:

  • Exit and escape route signs.
  • Fire safety and action notices.
  • Stairway and identification signs (including the edges of steps).
  • Prohibition signs.
  • Hazard signs.
  • Low location lighting and so much more...
